Fly Box is a multimedia performance/exhibit with live and recorded instrumental and vocal music, video, still photography, sung and spoken word, textile art and fishing fly design. Fly box premiered live, August 12, 2010, at the Racine Art Museum, produced by Karel Suchy and Voices and Verses. Suchy composed the music, and Voices and Verses added improvisational elements. Each movement refers to a life stage of a flying insect. Texts are based on “The Compleat Angler” by Izaak Walton and Charles Cotton, 1653.
